Elegance, culture and Turkish heritage were all embodied within the symbolic tailored collection unveiled by Neslişah Yılmaz (Founder and Creative Director of Barrus London), Volkan Hidayetoğlu (Co-founder and CEO) and the Barrus team as a whole at Fashion Scout, London.
Barrus acquires its name from Latin often interpreted to be Royal Elephant. Therefore, I should have known, (after photographing the elephant outside of Spitalfields market) that a photographic opportunity may present itself. It certainly did, when I received photography access to Barrus backstage. As a photographer, backstage access to visually interpret such an eminent designer and creative team working together – inspires beautiful creative photography.
Photographing both backstage and ‘front of house’ runway conveys a more complete visual story. The Barrus Collection infused with inspiration by Neslisah from the ‘The Anatolian Garden’ region created a modern couture of exotic intricate designs that breezed along the runway – Great for photographers and the fashion people attending.
