Photographer’s Perspective: The Journey

Packed with heavy equipment, I arrived in Paddington station hours before my first show (Ginny Litscher, London) with the goal for immediate hotel check-in then to scout the weekends LFW-SS27 show venues.

As a photographer, I am always inspired when arriving into Paddington’s Victorian, Brunel designed station. Although, Paddington has been my station of choice over many years of photography, its glass vaulted roofs evokes my excitement and anticipation for the commencement of London Fashion Week photography.

The journey to Shoreditch, sighting the elephant statue outside Spitalfields market, means that I am also near the next day’s LFW venue Fashion Scout. It’s time for work!

Now checked-in, I criss-cross London scouting the venues and met for the first time in 10 years, Karl and Tiffany whom gave me my real first break into Fashion show photography in 2016, when they were established at OFS in Oxford. It was great to see them both looking great whilst they greeted and met the MUAs, models and hairstylist who happened by.

Next day is Pit mark up at Fashion Scout but today I head across London to the Ginny Litscher show at the Haymarket Hotel London to photography the colourful mix of elegance and gorgeous colour prints of her summer collection.

The next day, was backstage and front of house photography – fast, chaotic and fun. Colour, romantic exotic designer’s collections including runway shows from Barrus, OFS and YUI KAO, excerpt of which feature in Oslucezinne… Enjoy!
